Taking Action for Animals 2006 is a leading event for the animal protection movement to be held on September 2-5 in Washington DC.
Sponsored by leading organizations, Taking Action for Animals is designed to motivate, train and inspire activists nationwide.
This year's event will build upon the success of the 2005 inaugural conference and feature renowned speakers from the animal protection movement and beyond who will share their knowledge and a vision for the future of the movement. Keynote sessions will be complemented by training sessions designed to ensure the development of practical skills for seasoned activists and those new to the animal protection movement.
A Lobby Day on Capitol Hill, exhibitions, social events and opportunities for networking will complete this essential weekend.

The Taking Action for Animals conference will open for registration at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 2nd, and sessions will kick off with a welcome and conference overview at 3:00pm. The conference banquet will be held on Sunday evening.
Formal sessions will close at 7:00pm on Monday, September 4th. Lobby Day activities will take place on Tuesday, September 5th and there will be lots of great opportunities to get involved!

Taking Action for Animals will be held at the Renaissance Washington, DC Hotel, located midway between the White House and Capitol, with close proximity to Union Station, Verizon Center, and the exciting new shops and galleries of DC's Penn Quarter district.
